BISHOP GUN CLUB PISTOL CARTRIDGE LEVER ACTION RIFLE SILHOUETTE MAY 18, 2008 |
I have entered into the computers memory the next sentence “Congratulations to Gary Whinnery, Match Winner”. It saves time. A glance at the above and you can see that even though there were some decent scores shot, well you can see how far behind we were. Good shooting Gary.
About a year ago it was decided that
we would draw for animals the same way we do on Saturday, and most other
clubs do. Apparently not everyone knew this and unfortunately it led to a misunderstanding. It was decided to do this to erase any potential advantage a shooter may gain by choosing their starting animal. As an example, when I shoot a Marlin I like to shoot on bank two because I can drop the empties in the box. It doesn’t help my score, but it is easier. Anyhow, that’s the way we do it now.
I would also like to take the opportunity to again thank Gary and John for stepping forward and taking on the responsibility of Match Directors. As I recall, they were the only two who stepped up when the subject was broached. It’s a lot of work and they keep us running without any hitches. And thank you Jim Bridges, our Range Master. We appreciate all the work you do to keep us running, you three are a great team.
Next match Sunday June 29th 2008.
