High
hopes of a perfect weekend for shooting were doused with wind and rain
on Saturday and high gusty winds and a light shower along with temps
barely out of the 60’s on Sunday. (It felt like late September rather
than early August!)The wind briefly let up immediately after the rain
Saturday which left the smoke hanging so bad several shooters never
got all their shots off. Six cowboy shooters joined us for that match;
Mother Nature sure didn’t make it easy for them. We appreciate everyone
that came and stuck it out. Congratulations
to Paul Behe with the high aggregate for the weekend as well as all
the winners and placers.
As usual,
thank you to everyone who helped at the match. It’s amazing how quickly
the range gets put back in order as soon as the shooting ends and the
best part is we never have to ask for the help. It’s great to have such
support from so many shooters and be assured it is highly appreciated. For additional
