-----Original Message----- We are all doing fine. enjoying our time so far. Chip practiced yesterday at the range. Very windy and like shooting in a sand box. Not much dust to go by. Today is a loading day and maybe out sight seeing this afternoon. Debbie & Chip |

Yesterday, they had a day off so we took a ride to the cape point and got to see the baboons and the penguins. It was a nice day. I will let you know how the guys do today. They will start shooting for score tomorrow. Debbie |

Do you have a digital camera with you? Can you send pictures? Keep up the good work, Steve I do have a digital camera, but using a private computer. Will have lots of pics when I get back. Today is the first day of competition. Chip caught some kind of bug. We will see how he does. One of the other guys isn't feeling well either. Debbie |

| Sent: Thursday, April 13, 2006 8:57 AM Subject: first day of team comp Good news, Chip made the International Team. That is made up of 4 Swiss, 1 Belguim, 1 So. African and 1 German, and USA. In my own words and feelings, this whole competition is very unfair in scoring. I thought it was suppose to be the total score of all the indiviual matches, midrange and long range. As I found out, George doesn't care about the midrange and only the long range. Well, Chip had a bad day at the 1000 and that put him out of the top 8. Someone else had a zero on midrange and still made the team. I guess I am just biased. Anyways, chip did very well today and shot a 66-3 at 700. By the way, they score things here totally different. Your X is called a V and you score 5, 4, 3 etc. Today was 15 rounds. Very windy and cloudy. Tomorrow is 800 & 900. The USA team I heard did well today. I think Chip was the high score on the Swiss team today. More to follow. |
