.50/70 Cartridge Box

Post by mrhunterken » Sun Apr 09, 2017 1:19 pm

Does anyone know or have information on where to obtain cartridge boxes for the .50/70. All sources I usually use, do not carry them. Are any even made?

Are you referring to a period correct ctg box or modern day plastic box?

I have two Made by MTM Caseguard.

I use the H50 for my 50-90 ammo.

Berry's plastic box number 415 Special is made for the .50-90 so it is a little bit tall for the 50-70. Other than that it works well.

If you don't like the excess length you can drop spacers into each cavity to elevate the empty brass so you can pick it up a little more easily.
