Gunn-Trenk still best for Pedersoli?

Post by Oregon Bill » Sat Apr 28, 2018 8:31 am

Wondering if this design is still a best bet for a Pedersoli Sharps in .45-70 , and if so, who is making it.
I have not kept up with all the developments in bullet design over recent years -- including members of the "money bullet" family that are chronically out of stock at Buffalo Arms. So if there are other design options that do well with the Pedersoli barrel and chamber, I'd be happy to hear.
Did Lyman ever start getting their Postell "right" again?

All moulds at BACO are always out of stock. They make them to order and they arrive in just a few days. 6 for the custom design I sent them a while back.

I would say that the Gunn Trenk bullet is about 4th best - maybe. Pedersolis do not live in a world of unique aerodynamics so what works for my rifle will work for yours, at least so far as nose shape goes.
I'm not from here, I just live here.

Brent, Thanks. I learned about the BACO "out of stock" thing reading old threads on the Shiloh Forum. Look for an e-mail.
