Hi ,
Being new to BPCR loading I was wondering if I can case stretch Starline 45-90 brass using the Classic Checkering tool in RCBS 45-70 dies as I only have Lyman 45-90 dies ?

SMAC, Try to neck size your 45-90 Starline brass with your RCBS 45-70 resizing die. If it resizes so that the 45-90 brass has a mouth ID of about .450 to .454", the case stretcher should work OK. I cannot stress enough that Starline brass needs to be thoroughly annealed before it will stretch. (top 1/3 of the brass). If it is not annealed, you may get only .002 to .003" stretching, at the most, and work yourself pretty hard just to get that. Your Lyman 45-90 resizing die will work also, provided the threaded adapter that holds the depriming pin is drilled and tapped to the thread pitch of 1/4-28, so it will accommodate the case stretcher's threaded rod. Best to you, Tim
