Tweaking the Lyman Universal Case Trimmer

Post by ClarkDavidson » Thu Jul 03, 2008 9:36 am

I had to back bevel the leading edge of the sliding jaws before I could get a 45-90 case to slide in. It is a new trimmer, just in from Midway. Smaller caliber cases were working great. The jaws just would not slide open for the big cases. I removed the face of the chuck, watch out for flying springs, and beveled the sliding jaws with a dremel tool. Now I can snap the 45-90 cases right in.
What was I thinking when I ordered that Sharps?
