Red Willow Ballard #1 1/2 .45-70

Post by pacecars » Fri Jun 26, 2015 8:49 am

am familiar with the Cody Ballards and originals of course but have never seen a Red Willow Ballard. This one looks to be in decent shape and has been rebarreled in a 30 inch heavy round barrel with would sight and level globe front. The shotgun butt and forend are rather plain. It is under 2K. Anyone familiar with these rifles?

I am not familiar with the Red Willow Ballards as a group, but I do own one. My was in 40/65 but the chamber was very large and my fired brass was expanded very wide. I re-barrelled mine to 45/70 also. My Ballard seems to be well built and I have had a lot of fun with it.
