Why are Maynards being left out?
This time I had to break the silence... No ones talked about maynard for 8 months. Are they the black sheep of BPCRs? Personally, I like them.

Er ... please Lil Quigley enlighten us/me .. what's a Maynard?
Enquiring mind and sheer cussed enquisitiveness (heck, is that a word?) prompted me to post!
Ya got any photos?
Showing my ignorance here but I gotta know, I might like 'em and therefore spend more hard earned on rifles my wife says don't match her outfit!
I heard the name, many times but never seen one

Just Googled 'em. Hmmm they look mightly um, practical ... best I could come up with
Found a Creedmore version and that looked interesting but they ain't what you would call ... beautiful ... y'know like a Sharps.
Seems like the calibres they was made in is mostly the unusual (by todays standard) types, 44-whatever, which make 'em harder to find brass/dies/moulds for. Obviously one could lay out for custom stuff but that costs mightily.
OK, so what's the attraction LQ?

Good for you LQ, have a real good day now
Take back everything I said about them Maynards having seen some real nice ones. There's history staring ya right in the face, may not be quite as pretty as a Sharps but they are NICE!
Iffen I had the wherewithal, I'd get one

I have a Shiloh Sharps in a Maynard caliber .35/40 Maynard. Use it for shooting silhouettes with BP and it works great .Maynard made a 1000 yard rifle too in 35 caliber caled a 35/55 .Arnie
