Rolling Block Gunsmith Recommendation?

Post by Nailcreek » Sun Aug 30, 2015 8:31 pm

I'm thinking of having a sporting rifle built, in either 38-55 or 30-30 winchester, using an appropriate action. Can someone recommend a gunsmith who has RB experience?

Thanks!

You could give Dave Crossno a call at 405-396-8786.

I did reach out to both Curt and Dave, both are booked out for the next couple years, before they even have time to consider my build.

And other gunsmith to try is Jimmie Sommerfield at Post Oak Guns in Brenham, TX 1-979-836-3559. Jimmie does fine work also. He is also the current .22 BPCRA Scope National Champion. He knows what it take to win, plus is a good guy to work with too.

You do need to understand though, all gunsmiths worth their salt are backed up with work for 6 to 12 months out or even longer. Then you have the time involved doing the work. So no one is going to be able to just turn this around in 30 days.
