Nice Bucks

Post by beltfed » Thu Apr 19, 2007 10:06 pm

Hi, Marlinman93,
so you, too have a couple of 1881s. Nice bucks there, and with a Ballard, too.
Getting a nice buck is what I would like to do with the 40-60Ev #4 Perfection.
Will expect to use the Lyman flat Point 400 gr "Sharps" bullet
for game.
Trying to find time to keep going with load development for it.
Will keep you posted here with ( eventual) progress.

Have some Winchesters, and even a Stevens Tipup, too, that need attention.
Too many toys, not enough time.

Regards,
beltfed/Arnie

Yes Arnie, the 1881 is one of my favorites (right after Ballards!) and I believe I have seven now. I'm looking at another in .38-55 with pistol grip checkered stocks. Hopefully I will be able to swing it too!
I love hunting with classic rifles, and try to hunt a little each year with one of them.-Vall
