Period Cardboard Sharps Ammo Boxes

I tried my hand a making period cardboard Sharps ammo boxes. It was a fun and easy project. Total cost for 16 boxes.... Under $11.00

I didn't realize there was a new post way down on the forum this far. I don't often look down here, but I missed out. Those are great boxes. I suspect they would be hard to tell from the originals in new and unfaded condition. Pretty darn nice. Nice rifle too. I have always wanted a patch box Sharps.

Brent, I appreciate the kind words. It was a fun and easy project. The rifle is a C. Sharps, 1874 Hartford in 45-70.

John Boy, I'm not sure, I purchased the blank boxes from Amazon.com.

Added the red side labels. You can see the before and after difference. The side labels make the boxes display better for living history events.
