If he's still yelling I'm appreciating it. I'm kinda hard of hearing.

Like his dispenser to be sure. Enjoyed the thread!

Re: New tumbler

I fill my Thumbler to within about an inch of top. Seems pretty gentle on the case mouths but I did reduce time from what I used to tumble. Been turning about an hour of late. Nice to know something is in the wings when this one wears out. From what I've read on Kurt's posts I'm thinking I have a wh...

Re: Buffalo Arms.

Hey There Singleshot S.A., Listen to the rest of the fellahs regarding some of those spots to visit. I'd pass on BA. I'm in and out of there frequently since I live just 20 miles north but it's not something to gander at unless you like looking at a couple phone order stations, a shipping table and ...

Re: To buy or not to buy...Browning BPCR 45-70

D, I don’t have a C-Sharps so won’t comment on the chamber other than to say I’ve not read any negative things written about them. I’d think you’d be in for a boatload of fun. My interest was vintage levers and long distance shooting, but then vintage single shots got me attention. I’ve had a Sharps...

Re: To buy or not to buy...Browning BPCR 45-70

According to Hunter and Starline drawings there is no taper in Starline brass wall thickness at the .500 neck wall dimensions in either 45-70 or the 40-65. The wall thickness taper ends at the start of the case neck. I don't have gauges to confirm or disprove that but would sure like to know for cer...

Re: To buy or not to buy...Browning BPCR 45-70

Brent, when a saw the .421 the RCBS sizer sized to I thought "that would be perfect for PP". Don't want to hone that CB die for that reason. I'll size with a bushing die or something else for that I'm working on for neck sizing. On the reamer considerations hear is my rational. Flat transition : I'v...

Re: To buy or not to buy...Browning BPCR 45-70

Since we get into the 40-65 in this 45-70 thread I hope I can jump in without being considered a highjacker. Concerning the neck of the 40-65 I have a Marlin 1895 and TexasMac's observation that the taper extending into the neck region is sure 'right on'. A fire formed case decreases in diameter rig...
