Re: Baby wipes

The ones I have been using here in Oz are treated with Aloa Vera. I noticed at the World Long distance ML championship that the Spanish/Pedersoli team members were using Aloa Vera on a Pad, to roll their PP bullets on just prior to loading. !!

Storing molds while still full.

Does any one here store their molds away with a projectile still in the mold. ?

I don't, but the question was raised at the Club last week.

What would the advantage / dis advantage be ?

Re: 35/40 Lucas.

Hi John,

Yes I did, sorry not to acknowledge.

Yes I Emailed Steve Baldwin and he has a couple for sale. 1:10 twist for a 360 grn bullet, to knock the Rams over.

I would go 1:14 too. Life is hectic at the moment.

Cheers Ian.

Re: 35/40 Lucas.

Thanks Brent, thanks Chris. I guessed as much. Just hoping that the cost of a Reamer and the barrel and the postage to Oz don't out weigh the fun factor. Now.......... if things start to get out of hand price wise with buying a Ream or having the chamber cut in the States, (I am poor but happy), I w...

35/40 Lucas.

Hi all, I have started the ball rolling on a project rifle for 100 yd off hand and 200 yd Shutzen. If I can work it, I'd like to go with the 35/40 Lucas. I searched here and found a couple of posts from Kokomo and Beltfed, and am pretty impressed with what I read. A friend in Oklahoma city, whom I m...

Re: lubing bullets does it get old?

Just throwing this up there..... My good friend and shooting buddy here in Oz, who has shot many times in the Australian Team, all over the world, recently out shot me with some loads that were 20 years old. We both shot well, but his loads shot as good as they did when he loaded them, 20 years ago....

Re: Trimming cases for B.S.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies, I did not ignore them. My drop tubing has improved to the point that I am happy with the result. Happy with the way it fills the cases, and happy with the way my once troublesome rifle is now shooting. I did find that I was not consistent with the speed at which I wa...

Re: .357/.44 B&D.

OK, the story goes on............... I found a Rolling block action with a 28" 9.3 x 72r barrel installed. Here in Oz. As it was originally a BP cartridge, it might just be what I'm looking for. Anyone had any experience with the 9.3 x 72r. ? I really didn't want to go this route of having to find a...

Very few in Australia, let alone good ones.

Come on over, we have a spare room.

Re: .357/.44 B&D.

Many Cadets here in Oz were re cut to 357/310, and if the barrel was shot, some re barreled to 357 mag.

They make a very reasonable little gun.

Re: .357/.44 B&D.

Thanks Brent, The rifle in question is a .410 shotgun at this stage, be it original or a re barrel I don't know, but the owner has used it for many years as a snake / parrot gun out on the farm. It's not a fancy looking rifle by any stretch of the imagination so not concerned about changing it to no...

.357/.44 B&D.

Hi all, So it seems just lately I'm contemplating building up a little Shutzen / Off hand BP rifle for 100 and 200 yds. I have the chance to buy a Low wall rather cheaply but it will need a barrel. I have considered .357 Max for some time, and know of one that shoots very well. However, not wanting ...

Re: pedersoli long range sight

That's the way to do it, start close.

A guy at our club did exactly that just a few weeks ago, all went well.

His rifle was a new Ped Gibbs with long range soule.
