Re: Trapdoor and silhoutte

I shoot a trapdoor in 40-65,to make the blowtube work I take the rim of the case off
on the end of your blowtube. I think thats better than wiping when shooting silhoutte.

Re: lowering trigger pull weight

Jack R.E.Davis makes a double set single lever trigger model #001 this trigger needs to be set before you can cock the rifle as it put presure on the sear if not set, that is why a fly is not needed. They also make a single set trigger that works the same, Model #003 with it you can remove the trigg...

Re: lowering trigger pull weight

Arnie I don't know what you are using this rifle for, another thing you can do is put a double set singe lever target triggers
in it as they don't require a fly. Lorne

Re: lowering trigger pull weight

Arnie the tumbler I got from Robert is like using halfcock which makes for a faster hammer fall.
If you have the springfield with the 3 notch tumbler you could take off the fullcock and shoot from
halfcock. Lorne

I have deprimed life primers with my hand tool and never set one off, then reused them and they worked fine. when you deprime use glove and safety glasses works fine. When I first started reloading 44 years ago I had a lee loader and I set a few primers off with it without an harm to me or anything ...
