Chances are the new Winchester cases can stand to be neck annealed. If after the first firing the outside walls of the new cases have any evidence of burned black powder resdiue the most likely cause would be the cases are not fully sealing in your rifle's chamber.

Spurdude,

Lots of snow in Colorado means the Rio Grande in New Mexico will be full come spring thaw. In New Mexico we never complain about moisture.

Cleaning fluids

Gents,

Am surprised no one has mentioned ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid)!

One of the least expensive and best metal cleaners to be found.

Many an old engine has been cleaned internally with the addition of a quart of ATF to the oil change.
