Thanks for the advice. New at this and I went thru the bag of brass to check each rim. Some were smaller and chambered fine. So I will measure the rim cut in the barrel and then Lathe turn all the rims to the same thickness. Easy to do I think.....

45-7- Rim Thickness ?

Got some new Winchester brass and it will not chamber in my rifle. Rim is .068 to .070 thick. The Remington rim is .063 to .065. This is brass only, not a loaded round. Any suggestions as to the best solution? Turn the rim, deepen the rim cut, or just buy Remington brass are options I have considere...

Use to work as a Handy Man and had at times needed to re-use copper fittings. Learned to heat slowly and get it just warm enough for the solder to melt. Anything hotter would just freeze the fitting. Un-soldering a liner would be a large challenge. Congratulations for trying, I learned something fro...

New at this, Moose Lake, Minn.

Any one in the area that would be able to instruct me in the basics? I have a place to shoot and a rifle that I would just as soon Not Blow UP, as well as myself, because I did something stupid. I do better hands on as a learning style. Have 6 acres, wood ticks, and wild life. Thanks, David
