Cartridge seater for Sharps 1874 & 1877, Winchester 1885 and 1879 Hepburn. Fits originals and faithful reproductions. This is a copy of Rhoades (may he RIP) cartridge seater from some years ago. Re: 38-50 vs. 38-56

An oldie but a goodie............ the thread, that is. Wondering if anyone has done any good with the 38-56 since this thread was started. I spent 3yr wondering in the 38-56 wilderness and was never able to post better than AA scores. One of the biggest problems is that the BN requires that the wad ...

Marlin Model '97 Levergun .22LR

Selling my Marlin Model '97 levergun. .22RF. Full octagon 24" barrel has been lined with a TJ's liner (about 7yr ago). This was my primary .22RF levergun until the magazine cutoff spring wore out and I switched to my Model 1897 (also with a TJ's liner). A good shooter that works fine as a single-sho...

Re: How would you classify a new shooter at a two day BPCR match?

The 2-day Friendship regional last weekend was scored just the way described above. 1st day a 'new to scope' shooter was 'master/unclassified'. He shot a AAA score and was AAA for day-2 and the match (and, being an excellent shooter, ended up 1st AAA).

Re: 2012 BPCR Silhouette Results?

Not many posts here. Did manage to shoot the 2014 matches at Raton and had a great time. 96 scope shooters & 92 iron-sight shooters. Jerry Vanwey (sp?) won the scope match and Rick Moritz won the iron-sight match. Rick's win was notable for the fact that he won shooting a 38cal rifle as opposed to t...

FS: 40 Cal BACo 450gr Mould

Finding the 450gr bullet to be a bit on the heavy side for my 40-65. Think it would be just the ticket for a faster twist then my 15" barrel or a 40-70, 40-82 or 40-90 with its additional powder. http://www.buffaloarms.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=160181&CAT=4156 for all the details. Ships to you in the low...

Need Sticks?

Shooting friend made me a nice set of 'sitting' 40" long oak shooting sticks. Yours would have a felt strip along the inside edge of each stick, which I ask him to leave off on mine. He said he would make for $55 + shipping or shorter 'prone' sticks for $50 + shipping. Sticks meet all NRA spec's.

Click on his name "JSU" in any of his posts and you will be able to send him a PM (private message). Or, post in this thread and let everyone learn a bit more. Remember, the only stupid question is the one not ask. ;)

Re: Burger's 7 chickens

Congrats. That's some nice off-hand shooting. I would be happy to get 7 chickens in a our 60 shot match this weekend. At the Shippensburg match last month Barry Harmon got 8 chickens and Brian Chilson got 7 (not unusual for Brian, who holds the record with 11). Some very good shooters out there. Aga...
