I have had no problems accessing the site at all, being retired I log in to the 'Shiloh' site or three times a day. I have never noticed it being 'Down' at all. Harry If it works for you, Harry, how about forwarding it to me as it is as dead as American freedom will be after the inauguration. Actua...

Harry, The ballistics pendulum was available and in use by Ordinance. There was even a primitive electric (not electronic) chornograph in use. I suspect the velocities were fairly accurate but possible with some bias. Jerry Liles F Mann used a rotary chronograph that should give excellent results. ...

When I got started, I wanted a roller. A friend was peddling his Shiloh and hooked me. I am glad I bought what I did. Rollers work well as Linda Clendennon has demonstrated for several years. The Sharps works in a near identical fashion to the breech block on the M48, M60, M60A1, M1, M1A1 and M1A2 p...

Stumpy, You should get more shooting before cleaning than 10 rounds. Your bullet may not hold enough lube or you might try adding a bit of neetsfoot oil to your lube which will make it creamy. That seemed to help me. Also, try a felt wad under your bullet. The felt also helped keep my fouling soft. ...

Like Martain B and Cimaron R, I drain the cases and toss them in the tumbler with walnut media. Only difference is mine stay there until I get around to loading them, usually a day or three.

For hunting and target, I cast 30:1 = soft. I use a 450 and a 350 grain flat point bullet in .45-70 with 70gr FF Goex in a Marlin 95 for hunting. Works well out to 200 which is my skill limit. For target I use a 500gr Lyman spitzer or a Hock 550gr bullet. Both work better than I do out to 1000. Thes...
