Spurdude: Black streaks down the side of your cases, means that you are gettin, "blow by." You say that your cases meaure 2.100 +/- .002. Measure the lenth of your chamber, my friend, that could be the problem. (That's what it was with my 40-65.) TED Always check the chamber.

Brass brush

Wow what a thead. All because of a brass brush. I can tell you this. When I home from Raton with a nice new Csharps with an Erney Stallman barrell on it, I was told to take good care of the barrell. (The man didn't care what I did with the rest of the gun.) "Do not use a wire brush of any kind. If y...

Sharpsman:
Did I see a typo? You're using a "BRASS BRUSH" on your bore?
From what I've read, that's not a good thing to do.
I use Dawn dish soap (not very much. maybe 1/2 teaspoon to 1/2 gallon
of water.) It does it all for me. Cases, gun, you name it.

Leather wads

Hey bernie: Leather wads....why not? I've never talked to or heard of anyone who's used them. But if you think about it the wad is there for 2 reasons, (so the big boys tell me.) 1) to keep the powder granules from damagin' the base of the bullet, upon ignition. (Makes senise.) 2) to keep the bullet...

Plan has changed. The launch sequence has been activated. Lee Shaver has my Browning BPCR. he will cut the chamber to 2-7/8. I had a brain fart when I thought of rebblin' the thing ! Cost cuttin'. Had to down size. (Ever heard of that?) At any rate I don't have to---- Buy a bbl. Have it chambered, t...
