Nice work and a lot of effort, but frankly, I don't care for the lines on the butt stock - specifically, the bottom line, the top line, the nose on the comb and the blend of stock to comb. Ditto, and the blond stock is a turnoff to me. Maple was meant to be stained to pop the curl IMHO. Really good...

Ditto. It almost always takes a brush to get the job done. Dawn dish soap first then brake cleaner.

The original Sharps factory Creedmoor round shows that bullet was seated a touch over 3/8 but not quite 1/2 inch deep into the case.. Wrong. This is from Grant's first book. The cartridges are original. #15 is the original Sharps Creedmoor. It is easy to work out that the bullet is in the case 0.1"...

I use rubber stoppers that are used for test tube stoppers. Ebay or any scientific supply. Or a friendly chemistry teacher buddy.

George, before you undo that 85 you might just have some debris in the action there. Try an air hose first...works on mine when that happens.
