I am planning to shoot an 1884 trapdoor, cartouche dated 1891, and would like to know how to intepert the markings on the Buffington sight. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I've since boiled them and have them ready to go in with the next batch of lead I melt.

Clean Out Old Lube or Just Melt and Recast

I have about 40 bullets which have some form of damage from either bullet pulling or hardness testing. Many of them are already lubed. I am new to casting and am wondering if I should clean the lube from each bullet prior to remelting or merely remelt and skim off the impurities?
