Vince, Thanks for your reply. At the present time I am trying to figure which of two trapdoors to purchase. Both guns are of the late 1888 vintage. One has a "pristine bore" but the metal has seen better days due to poor storage. The other has a good bore and cosmetically good wood. Also do you shoo...

After looking through countless reference books,I did find that the original Trapdoors had a twist rate of 1 in 22 (Ideal handbook # 27). And I am guessing that the new imports have a standard of 1 in 18. This being said and the price on the old versus new being close to the same....I will take my c...
