Re: Uberti DST on Pedersoli High Wall?

The adjustment is made with the small screw immediately behind the trigger. It is very fine and prone to wander which is why you need to coat the thread with locktite or nail polish, set it to the level you like and let it dry. I got so frustrated with mine, that I eventually fixed it with 2 part ep...

Re: 12.7x44r loading problem

I have a 12.7x44mm in a Swedish roller. I use 450/400 Nitro cases which when cut to length are a perfect fit to the original extractor. My load is also 65gn Swiss No2 (FFG) and the Lyman 515141 bullet sized to .510 I was very impressed with the first target at 100yds (after a sight correction with t...

Re: New guy Pedersoli rolling block and bullet mold questions

Rolling blocks lack the camming power to seat a bullet into the rifling so the bullet you load for hunting should just touch the rifling Without knowing which model you have, from my experience with both the 'Target' and 'Buffalo' rolling blocks; 1) My hunting load is 65gn Swiss No.2 (3FG) and a Hen...

Re: Pedersoli HIghwall misfires

I have a Pedersoli Hiwall 38/55 and had the same problem with cases set with Winchester LR primers. They would eventually go off but only after 2 or 3 hits from the hammer and not all rounds would do this (3 out of 10). I dissassembled the block and the protusion of the firing pin was measured .058"...

That's the basis of all Australian gun laws; the only country where you tell lies to get approval to purchase a rifle; the truth will have your application rejected.

Re: Pedersoli Sharps

I think your choice is a good one as the Pedersoli's have a proven capability for fine accuracy. I bought my first almost 20 years ago and haven't regretted it one bit. Last year I bought a Pedersoli 38/55 Hiwall with a 1:12" twist. I haven't tried it on rams yet, but on paper targets and at gong sh...

PJ modified a 38001 to suit a new Pedersoli Hiwall 38/55 with 1:12 twist. Nose to .371, first two driving bands .373 remaining 3 at .380. Darn thing shoots 10's with monotous regularity. Best money I ever spent :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v152/BAWallace/38001.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/...

It will be mostly target work. I have the majority of parts to make up a target sight like this one http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v152/BAWallace/Meues_folded.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v152/BAWallace/Meues_upright.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v152/BAWallace/Meues_rear.jpg

Re: new highwall

Arnie, Almost the exact loading I use in mine. When I dealt with Paul Jones he wasn't making the Dan T bullet but suggested his own 38001 design which has slightly deeper grease grooves than the former. We agreed to have the nose at .371, the first and second driving band at .373, and the remaining ...

Re: .577

Not sure if you are referring to the old original ammunition of modern rounds. I have a 577 Snider reamer from PT&G which is ground for the 577 Snider 'botleneck' round using modern drawn brass. This reamer is quite loose in an original, since they cut most chambers oversized to avoid stuck cases in...

Re: 1861 Springfield Rifle.

I wouldn't worry about what brand of repro you have if it is accurate. I have an 1853 PH Enfield which is not a match winner but it's little brother the '58 Navy 2 band will shoot 565gn minnies all day!

Re: new highwall

What calibre?

I purchased a Pedersoli Hiwall last year in 38/55 with a 1:12" twist. Mated to a 374gn Paul Jones bullet, it is showing great promise.

I purchased my mould from Victory moulds and have been using it regularly for 4 years in my Pedersoli 45/90. It shot very well at Creedmoor 2006 at all ranges out to 1000yds

Wow!
What projectile are you using?

I have the Lyman 'Snover" and the group above was fired with the tapered breech seated 385gn Mathews design (extreme LHS)
